What's striking about these people isn't their professed love of guns. I don't really even see that here. I see people who have a serious self-esteem problem. I see people who need to feel important, and walking around with a loaded gun makes them feel that way.
They think they're defending the US against that Marxist, socialist, fascist Obama. They probably harbor delusions that there will be a big shoot-out one day down at the OK Corral, and that they'll outdraw all the bad guys, shoot 'em all dead, and then bask in the glory as the townspeople gather 'round.
Maybe someone should tell them that real men don't need guns.
